We wish to ensure that our sessions are accessible to all so, where possible, we will offer the opportunity to those of limited financial means to undertake some work at the centre in exchange for attendance at our sessions. Please contact us for details.

1 hour of Yoga Nidra is as restful as 4 hours of conventional sleep so it's a very useful technique to learn generally.
A few of the benefits confirmed by the medical field are increased immune function, digestive function, and better sleep. The gifts of Yoga Nidra are the releasing of old habits and thought patterns and reducing fatigue, worry, and stress.
Yoga Nidra can be practised by anyone of any age, size or shape. This is not a physical exercise, but a technique for physical rejuvenation, mental relaxation, spiritual growth, and overall wellness. According to yogic thought, unregulated stress is the root of most physical and mental ailments today. The secret of Yoga Nidra (and to better health) lies in its ability to relieve tension and stress at its root and restore a balanced state of mind and a deeply rested body.
Yoga Nidra or "yogic dreaming" is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. It is the “going-to-sleep” stage and is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of audio instructions. It is a systematic method of inducing deep physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. The practice is done while lying down on one’s back. The eyes are closed and the body is made completely comfortable. This state of consciousness is different to meditation in which concentration on a single focus is required. It involves deep relaxation with inner awareness.
In this Foundation Course you will learn the basic stages/steps of Yoga Nidra, the background and science behind it and how to use the practise in order to clear subconscious patterns, create new ones and awaken deeper states of awareness.
Yoga Nidra will assist you in tapping into your highest potential, allow you to access dream and deep sleep states with consciousness and approach life with more empowerment.
There will be 5 sessions via Zoom of 60 minutes each forming this Yoga Nidra Foundation Course.
No previous experience is required.

A rug or mat, blanket and cushion is all that is required or you can do the session sitting up against a wall or sitting in a chair, if preferred.

Beekeeping for beginners course

Learn all you need to know about safe and successful beekeeping on our two day beekeeping course
Sixty per cent of food plants depend on honey bees for pollination. Not only are bees essential to the environment – these fascinating and sophisticated insects are also a pleasure to look after. Our beginners’ beekeeping course offers a complete introduction to the craft, helping you to understand the whole process before you commit to keeping bees yourself.
The course will cover what equipment you will need, the life cycle of the honeybee, how to set up the apiary, the beekeeping year, working with the bees, products of the hive.
You will be shown bees in operation at a beehive during practical sessions learning how to care for them and looking for any signs of disease or other problems. You will have the opportunity to handle bees seeing all the stages of the life of the honeybee within the hive.
The course tutor is an experienced beekeeper running a beekeeping consultancy with the British Beekeeping Association’s General Husbandry qualification and experience of teaching beekeeping at a local College.
At the end of the course, you will leave buzzing with enthusiasm for your new hobby and be fully equipped to take up the craft with some knowledge and confidence.

Places at our yoga sessions at the Centre are currently limited to a maximum of 9 so early booking is advisable. We can offer courses to small groups or organisations independently of the courses listed below and, where feasible given the nature of the course, at a location of your choice.

Full payment is required to make your booking. Please read this page and understand the specific commitments (see Special Requests below) required before booking. Payments are non-refundable, but are transferable to another course. If the course is cancelled, a full refund will be given.

What to bring
We have yoga mats, cushions and blankets.
For yoga and meditation events, we suggest you bring the following items:
Comfortable shoes suitable for walking if there are walks during your workshop/retreat
Notebook and pen
Warm and waterproof clothes for outside
- help maintain the peaceful environment of the Centre and grounds
- use your mobile in the lane outside the Centre and be considerate of other participants wanting to enjoy and benefit from the peaceful environs
- refrain from bringing meat, eggs, fish, tobacco, alcohol or recreational drugs into the Centre or its grounds.
- leave outside shoes on the racks outside the yoga and meditation studio and teaching cabin.
